Only the finest fibres make the grade

BillerudKorsnäs offers a range of NBSK pulp grades. All of it stems from 100% primary fibre, ensuring first-rate quality in terms of strength and purity. Our three pulp producing mills are certified in accordance with ISO 9001 and 14001 and produce three different types of premium pulp.

Billerud pulp

BillerudKorsnäs NBSK Gruvön

BillerudKorsnäs NBSK Gruvön is a flash dried pulp produced from pine and spruce harvested in the central parts of Sweden. The flash drying technique has many benefits for the pulp characteristics. In particular, it provides an excellent bulk and tear strength, with a tear/tensile factor to match. It is suitable for all sorts of end-use applications including specialities like filter paper.

BillerudKorsnäs NBSK Karlsborg

BillerudKorsnäs NBSK Karlsborg is a long-fibre pulp produced from pine and spruce harvested in the northern part of Sweden. These extremely slow-growing trees produce long, extremely slender and thin-walled fibres. This flexible fibre beats easily and provides excellent bonding between fibres, resulting in a superb tensile strength at low energy consumption.

BillerudKorsnäs NBSK Skärblacka

BillerudKorsnäs NBSK Skärblacka is a long-fibre pulp produced from pine and spruce harvested in the central and southern parts of Sweden. Based on strong, flexible fibres it does not compromise strength and printability properties. The pulp has medium-collapsible fibres that still retain high stiffness and give excellent bonding properties.
